Brown Roll Rim

Paxillus involutus

Found this yesterday and identified with my books once I returned home, I don’t often mess about with fungi because so many things can go wrong. However as this appears quite distinctive with its brown concave cap and brown gills I thought I’d make a note of it, as it turns out it’s one to avoid: http://www.foragingguide.com/mushrooms/sp/brown_roll_rim
According to Mushroom Pickers foolproof field guide: “ The toxins have yet to be identified, but their effect is somewhat similar to leukaenia”.
